Both large enterprises were among the first ones willing to play their part in supporting the fight against the coronavirus, however as the epidemic intensifies, help is needed again. In the framework of this new chapter, Masterplast Nyrt provided 2800 washable protective masks to the Municipality of Székesfehérvár on 2 September 2020. VIDEOTON HOLDING Zrt joined this initiative with HUF5,000,000, which covers the costs of the production of 20,000 more masks.
The protective equipment made by the two companies will not only be distributed in the social, health and educational institutions of Fejér County, but will be delivered to Somogy County as well, according to the plans.
The special polypropylene plastic masks are made with a clean, additive-free design. The mask can be used several times, and can be washed at 60 in a machine, can be dried and disinfected, and, for extra protection, an additional filter layer can be inserted into the pocket inside the mask. Due to the headgear, the wearing of the protective equipment is more comfortable than medical masks.
In addition to the current donation of 20,000 pieces, Masterplast will provide raw material for the production of an additional 100,000 pieces of masks free of charge, hoping that other companies will participate in the initiative in a manner similar to the current collaboration with VIDEOTON.
