Balázs Ács, Vice President of Masterplast Nyrt and László Pécsi, Director of Hungária Kft handed over the donation HUF 3,000,000 to Gesztesi Éva MD, General Manager of Hungarian Child Ambulance Foundation, in the headquarter in Sárszentmihály, in the framework of “Let’s help the child ambulances together!” which was established by the Hungarian subsidiary of Masterplast in 2015.
Within the framework of the year-end campaign of Masterplast Hungária Kft, the company allocated two forints after every sold meter or square meter of dry-construction product, and donated the amount to the Foundation for Hungarian Child Ambulance.
The Foundation plans to use the donation to purchase a mobile ventilator.
“The Foundation has been operating child ambulances at many locations all over the country. At the beginnings, our aim was to improve the modern ambulance care for children, in cooperation with the National Ambulance Service. The ambulances are operated by the National Ambulance Service based on the emergency calls” – added Éva Gesztesi, General Manager of Foundation for Hungarian Child Ambulance.
The personnel of an ambulance consist of an experienced paramedic and an ambulance worker, who is the driver of the vehicle in one person. The equipment is more extensive than in a normal ambulance, as it is complemented by special medications and custom-sized devices to care for children. Therefor, the doctors and workers of the Foundation could provide a better care service for the youth.
In addition to the ambulance care tasks, the Foundation has long been a pioneer in the field of child ambulance by searching for new tools and procedures and introducing them in Hungary. Nevertheless, they put a strong emphasis on providing courses on accident prevention and first aid skills.
